Emily Manson is an established journalist and former marketing and events manager with 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry. Over the last decade, she’s been both an in-house and freelance journalist but increasingly the businesses she worked with ended meetings by asking for help with something they had written, be that web copy, a blog, press release, marketing material or business strategy.
She launched content consultancy Articulate Content in 2015, to bring together her experiences for the benefit of other people and answer these businesses’ questions with a resounding ‘yes’! She now prides herself on providing friendly and accessible expertise that can transform the way a company is perceived both by potential customers and by the dreaded google!
Emily began her career at the cutting edge of hospitality, working for the likes of Anton Mosimann, Peter Boizot (founder of Pizza Express) and the Michelin-starred John Burton Race, before retraining as a journalist. She then worked as a restaurant critic at a local west London paper before joining Caterer and Hotelkeeper magazine in 2004 as hotels editor. She subsequently rose through the ranks to become content editor responsible for both the magazine and website.
Over the last six years, as a freelance journalist, Emily Manson has written for a range of consumer and trade titles including Caterer, Richmond Resident and Westside magazines, The Guardian London Launch supplement, Waitrose Kitchen www.greenhotelier.com, Conference and Incentive Travel, Commercial Motor and MIPIM magazines.
She has also written and edited content for clients with a range of needs from ghost-writing blogs to media packs and undertaken specific project work such as Caterer and Hotelkeeper’s Power 100 (2012/2011/2010), Hot Scots (2013), John Brown Media: Waitrose Frozen Brochure, John Lewis Baby Catalogue and tender documents.
Articulate Content now specialises in writing bespoke content for small to medium sized businesses. We currently write for a diverse range of clients covering many different business sectors from hospitality and wellbeing to general lifestyle, interior design, financial services and more.
